Podcast Text: Hebrews 4:14–16 (NASB95)
“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Key Question
Have you ever been afraid to come to God with your sin and failures?
Main Themes from the Episode
Jesus Our Great High Priest
He has “passed through the heavens” and intercedes for us (Hebrews 7:25).
We don’t come before God alone — we come through Christ.
Jesus Understands Our Weakness
He has experienced grief, temptation, and suffering (Isaiah 53:3–4; Matthew 26:38).
He sympathizes with our struggles yet was without sin.
The Throne of Grace
God’s throne is not a place of fear, but of grace and mercy (Romans 8:1; Ephesians 3:12).
We are invited to draw near with confidence, not shame.
Central Truth
The throne we’re often afraid of is actually the safest place to be.

Closing Prayer from the Episode
“Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Son, our great High Priest who understands our weakness and who has opened the way to Your throne of grace. Forgive us for the times we have hidden in fear or shame. Teach us to come boldly, not because of our worthiness, but because of Christ’s finished work. Today, may we find the mercy we need for our past and the grace we need for our present. Help us to draw near with confidence, trusting that in Your presence there is no condemnation, only love. We ask this in the strong name of Jesus, Amen.”
If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who may be carrying shame or fear and remind them: in Christ, the throne of grace is always open.
